How would you like to have your own local guide to show you around, to give you an in-depth and different perspective? Our Lesser Known Guides series will provide a new way of looking at and exploring places, to guarantee you get the most out of your visit. Our books bring places and people alive and provide a snapshot of real life -- past and present.
Each unique Guide will:
- be packed with intriguing detail and narratives about the events, people and places that make the location so fascinating;
- encourage you to revisit favourite haunts, to see them in a new light;
- support local businesses and highlight what's on offer to the visitor;
- include activities for children, young people and families (e.g. treasure hunts, quizzes, stories, etc.);
- above all, be easy to read and fun to take out with you.
Our first title - Lesser Known Swanage - was published in Jun 09 and has proven extremely popular with locals and visitors, as it delves into the following areas and much more:
